Academic Reading
This is Sir Afiq, as my reading lecturer he is very fun and friendly person. He teach us calmly and always make sure no one was left behind. In the middle of lecturing, he will stops and ask if anyone miss anything and will remind us to stop him if he's going too fast.
In reading class, we have a sharing session before starting our lesson. There will be two people sharing any sort of stories either from a book or article until their own life experiences. I get to share about my interest toward a finland's childhood cartoon called Moomin.
Here are some of my notes that I take during reading lesson. Although Sir Afiq will provided us with slides and notes but I still prefer hearing the lecture with pen in my hand and a book.
This is our list of assessment for reading
For my Journal assessment, there are two journal to be submitted. The first journal was submitted through Google Classroom and I got 8/10. I think it is a decent mark but there is always a room for improvement. The second journal was handed in hardcopy, I put more effort in this so I hope to get better mark for my journal two.
My mid semester exam was through Google Classroom too, I got 11.38/20. I'm not satisfied with my mark so I will work harder for my final exam later.
For my reading presentation, we were divided into a group of five people. We are required to make a video presentation and handout. My group choose 'fast fashion' as our topic to be presented.
Overall, reading class is such a fun class! I get to learn new reading skills that I believe will come in hand for any subjects. Thank you Sir Afiq!
